As part of Year 2’s Topic this term called “What do you miss when you’re asleep?”, we would like to invite you and your child to experience some activities at school in the dark. This is not part of the curriculum but is a fun and exciting enhancement of it.
The activities on offer will include;
- online badger watching in the Magpie’s classroom
- Rope walk through the woods
- Torch light fact hunt across the playing field
- Hot chocolate to warm you up in the Blackbird’s classroom
We can not stress enough that the safety of the children is our primary focus and therefor you will have responsibility for your child while they are on site in the dark.
Upon arrival, please go through the main entrance, sign in and collect instructions for each task.
In the event of poor weather, the event will be cancelled and you will be informed by text.
